Continuation of Part 3...
Choosing Right Golf Clubs
In the game of golf, the club is one of the most important pieces of equipment you need besides the golf ball. With that said, let's look at some of the ways to choose a golf club that is suitable to making your game the best possible. A player usually carries several clubs during the game up to but not exceeding 14 which is the limit defined by the rules. Golf clubs are used to hit the golf ball into the hole – this is a given. However, the method, manner and success of this action is dependent upon a few things.
First, different golf clubs serve different purposes. There are three major types of clubs: woods, irons, and putters. Wedges are irons used to play shorter shots. Woods are played for long shots from the tee or fairway, and occasionally rough, while irons are for precision shots from fairways as well as from the rough. A new type of club called a hybrid combines the straight-hitting characteristics of irons with the easy-to-hit characteristics of higher-lofted woods.
Based on the level of game that's played, golfers decide on the club that they want to use in their golf game. Some of the players will play for the weekend game, and there are others who would like to move up in the ranks. If the game is casual a low- to mid-performance club can work; a high-performance club is suited to those who play more regularly. So, as a player, you will need to decide according to the kind of game that you play.
After choosing the best club that suits the game, then the next thing that needs to be decided is the price that you are going to give for buying the club. Make sure you put in some research prior to picking a club. You will want to make as informed a decision as you can, because golf clubs are not cheap and buying the wrong club will have an adverse effect on your game. First, find a club that matches your level of interest. Don't be afraid to check out used clubs, as they can give you the best chance of getting the club you need at a good price.
